We specialize in the pre-care, birth and/or after care of momma and her puppies. We can assist with the birth or taking momma in for C-Section and continue with all the after care of Momma and her puppies for the first several weeks.
We are a family that works together to create a well structured breeding & whelping program. Working together, we strive to have all our adults & puppy fur babies healthy and happy. No matter what, we aim to have each loved beyond measures as they continue their lives from our home to their forever homes. We are proud to take part with those owners who realize that they want to continue their amazing blood lines, but may not have the facilities, time, or experience to give the litter the best possible start to thrive. This is were our services are extremely handy and we are ready to step in and help!

Our Custom Whelping Includes:
Care of your pregnant momma for at least 2-3 days prior to scheduled whelp date of the puppies, unless owner request more time for mom before puppies arrive. However the option of any more time is available for an additional fee. Momma will be well cared for, she will receive plenty of hands on love, care and exercise, along with administration of any drugs or supplements during the stay, which is to be provided by the owner or owner’s veterinarian.
Whelping the pups. If you have a schedule c-section scheduled where I need to bring mom to and wait to bring her and puppies home or if haven’t scheduled a c-section because your expecting a natural birth and any complications arise and trips to the vet are necessary, the owner must pre-pay for the all vet services prior to our arrival or if needed departure from the vet. Also any drugs used in the whelping process are to be provided by or pre-paid for by the owner.
We provide trips to the vet within a 30 miles distance, for dew claw removal, microchipping, initial puppy checkup, and post whelp checkup of momma.
Administration of de-worming and de-protozoa medicines from a vet will be required and we will administer at 2, 4, & 6 weeks. Some of these medicines we use keep the pups free from parasites throughout the time they are in our care.
We began weaning the puppies around 4 weeks of age and as long as al puppies are eating food momma can go home. Trips to the vet for vaccine shots for puppies, 6, 9 & 12 if they are in our care at this time. Please note these vet costs are the responsibility of the owner and must be pre-paid to vet or myself before services.
Puppies are fed Royal Canin & Victor Dog Food, unless other food is requested by the momma's owner. However the momma will need to have enough food sent for her stay, so that she can be fed the same foods to avoid any upset stomach issues during her stay. We will be happy to purchase a bag of food at owners expense, or if you chose to place a pick up order at a local store we will be happy to do a pick up. Please remember that all expenses will need to be paid for on or before pick up of momma and puppies.

What to bring with you when dropping momma off:
-Proof of current vaccinations, momma needs to be fully vaccinated
-Proof momma is not infected with any worms or other parasites
-Proof momma does not have parvo
-Food that momma is currently eating
-Any supplements and medication
-Bedding or other items to keep her comfortable while away from home
-Leash and Collar or Harness
-Valid Credit Card that will be kept on file for "Emergencies only"
Whelping Services do not include:
-Litter Registration-example AKC
-Buy/Sell agreement for pups and or marketing the sale of puppies
-Dog food for momma or additives, medications, or special treats
-Puppy Packets containing copies of applicable proof of clearances for sire and dam, titles or registrations on sire and dam, guarantees for pups
Process of Whelping
You can bring your momma to use up to 4 days early, more days if you request, we will watch over her until she is ready to deliver her babies, either natural or by c-section. We will stay with momma though out the entire process. Once the puppies arrive we work around the clock to maintain their stability and that they are thriving. We stay with momma and babies 24 hours a day and keep careful eyes on them. Feeding will start off as every 2-3 hours and change as they age. Momma and babies will experience nothing less then the same love and hands on care while with us than we provide to our own babies.
Vet visits, declaw removals by vet, administer medication to both momma and puppies, deworming protocol, weaning puppies at 3 weeks, pictures and/or videos taken for owners. If puppies stay longer then 6 weeks we will start introducing them to kennel training.
Options for Pre-Whelp
So we have a couple options that will help work for you so that you feel most comfortable with, because we want our clients and momma having relaxed experience first and foremost.
So option one is you can bring momma to us up to 4 days early to help her get acclimated to her new home away from home. This is best for momma and us as well so that she isn't as stressed when picked up after delivery. We also encourage owners to meet us at the vets if they are needing a c-section.
Our other option is that we can meet you at the vet if momma is having a surgery and we can stay with you and momma through out the process and after vet releases the puppies to go home, we take them home and start their whelping process at our place.

Emergency whelping is when booking is needed within a 24 hour period.

There is a $250 extra charge for emergency whelping services added to any of our following services. Once fees are paid for emergency and desired whelping service plan there will be no refund nor a transfer to another service.

Prestigious & Pampered Pawz - Whelping Services offers private, comfortable surroundings for your momma and her litter. We provide a climate-controlled interior facility. We continuously are cleaning, we keep fresh water out throughout the day, and access to our enclosed outdoor space for momma and her pups to run and play if they are here when they are ready to experience the outdoors. Our facilities are staffed around the clock, so your momma and her litter will always have the loving hands on care and close attentive eye paying close attention to the care they need to thrive.
